Results
The results of our project can be seen here through reading, or through the visual representation in the tab called "Graphs".
The results came back as mostly successful, as we were able to control as many of the variables as we could. As you can see from Graph One, the spoon was the only object that was able to contain much of the oil at all at 50%. The other products were very helpful with the absorption, however, as you can see in Graph Two. Graph Two states that the spoon was the least effective at absorbing the oil. The second worst and best absorbers were the paper towels, and the cotton balls which netted a 25% absorption. Finally, the sponge absorbed the most oil at 30%. This brought our total oil containment and absorption to 80% and 85%. So all in all, our experiment worked out just fine, although there are a few things we would change as you can see in the discussion.
